Repurposed wine bottles, upcycled in Switzerland
An Eco-Conscious Solution
The Earth is a fine place and worth fighting for. ~ Ernest Hemingway
About Glass Upcycled
Glass Upcycled was inspired by living in the Swiss wine region, the desire to promote eco-lifestyle behaviours and recently, the benefit of having a personalised drinking glass with COVID-19 around.
Upcycling involves taking an item that would otherwise be waste and improving it in some way to make it useful again. Glass Upcycled repurposes from bottles consumed (& discarded) locally in Switzerland.
Cutting wine or other bottles into glassware is not a new craft but it has newfound value with growing eco-consciousness. It's also a practical and symbolic expression of regeneration. Drinking from an upcycled glass invites you to be part of a circular process.
All Glass Upcycled glasses are hand-crafted by Jacqui in Blonay, Switzerland. No two are alike and come with little imperfections and individual character.
